Résumé: Des algues vertes qui prolifèrent de plus en plus dans les étangs de Bouchain et plus particulièrement dans celui du Grand Large. Une vingtaine de bénévoles, conseillers municipaux et membres du comité des pêcheurs de l'Ostrevant étaient à pied d'oeuvre pour cette opération exceptionnelle. Sous l'oeil vigilant du président Serge Desgrugillers, deux barques, dont une spécialement aménagée d'un racloir à griffes articulé et d'un moteur puissant et des ramasseurs d'algues répartis sur les berges, ont écumé la surface de l'étang. Les algues ainsi remontées (pas moins de cinq tonnes) ont été emmenées directement chez Recydem.
